Ukaleq Slettemark set new standards on the shooting range during the final round of the World Cup, where she was the fastest competitor. In the four shooting series, each with five shots, Ukaleq took just 1 minute and 38 seconds – an impressive time, counting from the time she steps onto the shooting mat until she leaves it. Her standing shooting series was completed in a record-breaking 21 seconds – a level that can truly be described as world class.

The Italian star and experienced super shooter Dorothea Wierer, who has been one of the best in the world for many years, had to be beaten by Ukaleq by six seconds. Both shooters hit 18 out of 20 shots, but neither of the two top athletes delivered flawless shooting.

Ukaleq's brother, Sondre Slettemark, also delivered a strong performance, although he could not match his sister's lightning-fast time. Sondre completed the four shooting series in 1 minute and 54 seconds - the 35th fastest time among the 102 men. Despite a slightly slower time, he hit 19 out of 20 shots, which places him as the 8th best shooter when combining shooting time and accuracy results. Ukaleq is in 4th place when the same criteria are taken into account.

Ukaleq and Sondre Slettemark both impress on the World Cup stage.

On the track, both Ukaleq and Sondre have had a challenging start to the season, primarily due to illness that has limited their training. Nevertheless, Sondre places 56th out of 103 participants – his best World Cup result to date. Ukaleq, places 47th among the 103 women starting, marking her 3rd best World Cup finish.

Both Slettemark siblings show great potential, and their performances promise well for the season.
