Playing against the best

Is there a sporting moment from 2025 that has made you especially proud?

- There are several sporting moments from 2025 that are memorable – especially our trip to Brazil with futsal. A tournament where we met the world champions in futsal and other great nations. It was a huge experience to play against some of the world's best futsal players on their home turf. It was truly incredible surroundings and a great experience. It was like a dream come true – a small nation like Greenland could play futsal against Brazil, Iran and Afghanistan.

What does being a role model mean to you? 

- There is a lot of responsibility in being a role model both on and off the field. It requires strength and resilience, partly because you have to be aware of your actions and behavior. But there is also a great honor in being a role model, an honor in being able to guide and help others, both in sports and in other ways. So for me, it is with pride and great joy to know that I am one of their role models in one way or another.

What does it mean to you when you represent your country on the field? 

- I love representing my country on the field. It is a great honor and a sense of pride to put on the shirt and sing our national anthem. I always look forward to representing Greenland and showing that Greenland can participate in the world of sports, including football and futsal. It gives strength, will and spirit – feelings that often come when our national anthem is played.

What are your dreams for 2026? 

My dreams for 2026 are to represent Greenland even more, but also that we start to perform and deliver great results – victories, but also take a lot of learning home. I also dream that we get to play more matches in 2026, preferably a home match in futsal or football.
