Unforgettable week in the Champions League

William Gantzhorn and the teammates from Hjørring Futsal Klub are   just returned home from the Main Round in Slovakia, and with two wins and one loss has the Danish team played further in the Champions League. It's the first time ever that a Danish team advances to the round of 16.

– It means an incredible amount. It is huge to be part of writing history in Scandinavia as the first team to reach this far in the Champions League. It is great to be a part of, William proudly tells AG.

William scored three great goals in the Main Round and has thus been a key player in the team's further advancement to the round of 16.

– It is of course great to score goals, but especially in the Champions League, because it means a little extra. We play on, even if all the odds are against us, and it shows that when we stand together as a team and believe in each other, we can get it right far and play against the very big clubs. It has definitely been my best futsal experience to date, says William Gantzhorn.

To other young people with an interest in futsal, the message is also clear.

– Jump into it and sacrifice what needs to be sacrificed, even if it's hard. If one really want it, you are also ready to do what it takes. It gives paw in the end, says William.

William and the team from Hjørring Futsal Klub can now look forward with pride the round of 16 finals – a historic achievement for Danish and Greenlandic futsal.
