Anne Nivíka Grødem, who announced last week that she will step down as director of Visit Greenland at the end of May, has already found her next position. After four years at the helm of Visit Greenland – first as deputy chairman of the board and then as director – she is now changing course.

From August 1, 2026, Anne Nivíka Grødem will enter the financial sector as the new country director in Bankivik. This is stated in a message on Bankivik's Facebook page, where the bank welcomes her to the management.

- We are incredibly happy to welcome Anne Nivíka. She has in-depth knowledge of the Greenlandic business community and solid management experience. These are competencies that will contribute positively to the bank's continued sustainable development and strengthen our local roots, says Brian Smedemark, Business Director at Bankivik.

With her experience from both the tourism and banking sectors, Anne Nivíka Grødem is expected to strengthen Bankivik's role as a central player in Greenland's business community.
