Exports maintain excellent start to the year

The export value of crabs has increased by 34.9 percent in the period January to April. The quantities have increased by 5.3 percent and the price per kilo has increased by 28.1 percent, according to Statistics Greenland.

Exports of fish products have had an excellent start to the year, and this appears to continue, according to a new report from Statistics Greenland.

The report shows how exports of the most important products are doing, which are shrimp, cod, halibut, crab and rockfish roe.

For these products, the export value in January to April was just over two billion kroner.

- Compared to the same period last year, this is an increase of 698 million kroner, corresponding to 52.0 percent, writes Statistics Greenland, which also emphasizes that the figures are preliminary figures that should be interpreted with caution.

As can be seen from the table below, this is by far the best start to the year for exports in a number of years.
