Three people were taken to the hospital for a check-up on Thursday afternoon after a traffic accident in Maniitsoq.
This is according to Chief of Police Thomas Jeppesen.
The police were notified of the accident at 4:14 p.m. on the Ungusivik road.
Two cars with a total of three people in them collided head-on, and both cars are considered totaled after the accident.
Burglary in café
In addition to the accident, the police responded last night to a burglary in a café in Sisimiut.
The report came in at 3:11 a.m. A door to the café had been broken open, and burglars had entered the kitchen and restaurant, the Chief of Police says.
Piteraq warning in the east
He further says that he expects the police to advise against all unnecessary exits in Tasiilaq today, as there is a warning of Piteraq and bad weather in the city.
DMI has issued a category 2 warning and expects Piteraq from the northwest 25-28 m/s. with wind gusts up to 33 m/s. Temperatures are expected between ÷10 - ÷12° and the warning is valid from Friday morning until Saturday night.
