Stine Buur Hvistendahl has become the new head of communications at Greenland Airports.

She took up her new position last month, after having been 'brand manager' at the company since December 2024.

- For me it has been very natural, she says.

- I am really passionate about communications, and Greenland Airports is the most exciting place to work. Especially now with the new airports.

And it is a wild time that Stine Buur Hvistendahl is taking up in. In addition to working with the international airport in Nuuk and the recently opened regional airport in Qaqortoq, another major airport opening is expected in the autumn.

In addition, the CEO of Greenland Airports, Jens Lauridsen, has announced that he will step down as CEO when the new international airport in Ilulissat opens at the end of October.

But change and hustle and bustle are something that Stine Buur Hvistendahl has been used to since she started working at the airport on 1 September 2023, she points out.

- There have always been ups and downs and new chapters. So it is not that I see the period we are entering now as necessarily very different . It is just that there are some other themes on the table, she says.

Will it be a difficult task, do you think?

- I imagine that all work can be difficult at times. But I like challenges, and I like to convey complexity in a way that everyone can get involved. That's one of the things that gives me energy, she answers.

What is the biggest and most important task you are facing now here?

- There is really a lot of exciting things happening at Greenland Airports, and I really want to make what we do more transparent – and make the role that Greenland Airports plays in society more visible, she answers.

Stine Buur Hvistendahl takes over the position of communications manager after her predecessor Mikkel Bjarnø Lund, who became communications manager at the self-governing company Nalik Ventures in April.
