That is precisely why it is my highest wish – that in this serious situation we are exposed to - must make us mentally strong. Stand together and support our Naalakkersuisut, and don't let fear rule this ugly situation.

You ask again and again how he can get his government to exist to go with his crazy and in this context imperialist ideas. It is like watching a hardcore gang leader. He has gathered his loyalists gang members around him who do exactly what he orders them to do because they know the consequences of disobedience. The gang members don't wear leather vests with dorsal markings, but with red caps with forehead markings.

As we all experience it, it is not international agreements, ethics or morals that determine the actions of the United States in these times. That is only about Trump's opinions - whatever it takes.

The valuable work

This means that it is of great value that Greenland and Denmark is doing a great job to bring the world together, including the Europeans countries and the American politicians, against Trump's wish to take over Greenland.

It is extremely important that Trump and co. not succeed in that separate us, regardless of whether "us" are different parts of the Greenlandic population or Greenland and Denmark. And therefore Naleraq's and other politicians' ceaseless attempts to do just that – to divide us – completely irresponsible.

Ok, we have every reason to demand a greater degree of equality and inclusion, and yes, there are unbearably many voices among Danes opinion makers who contribute to the division because they still fundamentally believes that Greenland is subject to Denmark. I have heard interviews with Danes politicians who openly tell the world on American TV that "Greenland belongs to Denmark". It's outdated and unacceptable and we don't want it.

We must have the Danish political elite, as well includes parties which may come to power after an election, to understand. There there comes a time when it becomes necessary to decide on an arrangement which must create real equality. But that discussion must wait for better times, and not now at all!

If America's interest in Greenland has shown us anything, it is the fact that we as people and society have enormous value. When Trump keeps yelling "We need Greenland!" via an infernal din of jet engines, is it not because that he has just flown across the country. This is because his advisers have told him that you cannot defend the United States without Greenland. That circumstance is so very worth that the Americans are considering laying out with the rest of the world and to invest untold sums in taking over the country and establishing themselves here.

No thanks

We are not talking about the fact that if it was written to someone, they will pay one for the free access that the Americans have obtained through the agreements which for longest has been concluded between the USA, Greenland and Denmark. You can for any reason start by asking: "Have you said thank you even once?"

So, dear countryman m/k, who represents us as a people in meetings and negotiations, straighten your back and behave with confidence and dignity in the meeting with both the USA and Denmark. There is no need to discuss “who gets to go in front” in this situation. We must behave as equals and preferably not always come after us with our petty demands. It's under ours dignity.

We must present our demands in the forums where it is relevant, and in relation to requirements towards the Danes, these forums are currently internal.

In the end, we will not be able to prevent an American invasion, if such against all common sense were to happen. But we has so much to gain by maintaining an equal union – with Denmark, with Europe, with "the rest of the USA", with the world.
