US President Donald Trump warned on Monday that Iranian ships that come close to the US blockade of Iranian ports will be immediately "eliminated".
He wrote this in a post on his social media, Truth Social.

The military announced on Sunday that the blockade will apply to all ships from all nations that call at or leave Iranian ports and coastal areas - including all Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the blockade would be introduced and that US forces would block all ship traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
The strait is a crucial maritime bottleneck for the world's energy supply.
It is the only sea route from the Persian Gulf to the open sea, making the strait crucial for oil exports from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Kuwait.
