The Greenland Handball Association – Timersoqatigiiffiit Assammik Arsartartut Kattuffiat, is looking forward to throwing the ball up when the Senior Greenland Championships 2026 take place in Sisimiut from March 31 to April 5. The tournament brings together the country's strongest men's and women's teams, who will fight for the titles in six days of intense handball in Sisimiut Timersortarfik.
This year's tournament also has a special anniversary on the program. The host club SAK celebrates 75 years as one of Greenland's most central handball clubs, and GM 2026 will also be a festive celebration of the club's long history and local commitment.
The men's division consists of Norsaq HC, NÛK, SAK, GSS and Nagdlúnguaq, while the women's division consists of GSS, SAK, NÛK, Nagdlúnguaq and K-33. The preliminary matches will be played from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM over four days, before the finals on April 5th will decide the championship titles.
After the senior championships, the handball party continues in Ilulissat, where the U15 Greenland Championships will be held from April 13th to 17th, making April a real handball party for Greenlandic handball.
