Aaja Chemnitz, a long-time member of parliament for the Danish Industrialists' Association, is now announcing her future.
Aaja Chemnitz has joined the consulting firm Inuva with the aim of supporting business cooperation between Greenland and Denmark, she said in a press release.
It also states that the pressure from the US president has created a unique opportunity for increased earnings for the Greenlandic community, but the results have so far been lacking.
- We must not let a unique opportunity to increase earnings pass us by, she says.
According to the release, Inuva is working to create a bridge between business actors in and outside Greenland who are interested in supporting increased business efforts in Greenland.
According to Chemnitz, Greenland is at a crossroads where increased business development will be crucial for the economy and welfare of the country:
- With my large network in Greenland and Denmark, I would like to help support the political desire for increased business activity between Greenland and Denmark, but also the EU and, in the long term, the USA. I believe we all have an interest in promoting business development, she says.
Aaja Chemnitz was a member of the Folketing elected in Greenland from 2015 to 2026. Prior to the elections in March, she announced that she did not want to run again.
